Personal Data Processing Policy pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
This page describes the Privacy Policy for the selectaspa.co.uk website in reference to the processing of personal data relative to those who provide such details to Selecta S.p.A.
The Data Controller is Selecta S.p.A. (hereinafter, the “Data Controller”), with Tax Code and VAT no. 00867840290, having registered office at Via del Sapere 1 – 45030 Occhiobello (RO).

In the course of their normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures utilised to operate this website acquire certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This information is not gathered in order to be associated to identified Data Subjects, yet by its very nature could nonetheless permit the identification of Users via processing and association with data held by third parties. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilised by Users who connect to the Website, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of requested resources, the time of request, the method utilised in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment of the User.
This data is only utilised to obtain anonymous statistical information on usage of the Website and to check its proper functioning, before being then deleted immediately after processing. The data may be utilised to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical computer crimes against the Website: except for in such cases, data regarding web contacts is not currently retained for more than 30 days.
Data provided voluntarily by the User
The personal data provided by the Data Subject when browsing or filling out forms on the sites is managed by Selecta S.p.A.
The data supplied to Selecta S.p.A. is processed mainly by automated means for the purposes indicated and for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data was collected.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss, illicit or incorrect use of data and any unauthorised access thereto.
Processing relative to the web services of this Website takes place at the aforementioned locations and is handled solely by technical personnel in charge of processing.
Providing data is optional but may be indispensable in order to utilise the services offered by selectaspa.co.uk. Where applicable, personal data must be provided in order to be able to receive requested information from Selecta S.p.A. via email. Failure to provide the data may result in the impossibility of obtaining that which has been requested.
The personal identification data collected via the online forms present, in full compliance with the principles of lawfulness and correctness and the provisions of the law, is used for the following purposes:
- To fulfil specific requests by the Data Subject for information or assistance on a service;
- Subscription to the newsletter.
The legal basis for processing is the consent given by the Data Subject. For such purposes, the data shall be processed for the time strictly necessary to carry out the individual processing activities and will be retained for the time necessary to process the request or until the Data Subject withdraws their consent.
Processing for marketing purposes
Subject to the consent of the Data Subject, Selecta S.p.A. will process the User’s personal data to send them information and promotional communications relating to its services as well as to carry out statistical research and customer satisfaction via email.
The legal basis for such processing is the express consent of the User.
At any time, consent may be revoked and/or objection expressed to the processing of your data for marketing purposes, to be communicated via email to privacy@selectaspa.it.
The provision of data for marketing purposes is optional. The data will then be processed until consent is revoked and/or the right to object is exercised and, in any case, no later than 1 year from the collection of the data, reserving the right, before the expiry of said period, to ask the User to renew consent and/or update the data.
Processing Personal Data in Curriculum Vitaes
Selecta S.p.A. will process the data contained in CVs sent spontaneously by the Data Subject or following a recruiting campaign, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, correctness and confidentiality. The data shall be processed for the period strictly necessary for the pursuit of the purpose in question and retained for a maximum period of 1 year from the time of receipt of the CV.
The processing methods are electronic, whilst the legal basis is the consent that the Data Subject may grant during the initial contact with Selecta S.p.A. Such consent may be revoked by the Data Subject at any time or the Data Subject may object to the processing of their data at any time by sending an email to privacy@selectaspa.it.
Data processing for the purpose of enabling the user to exercise their rights
Selecta S.p.A. processes User data for the purpose of:
- Responding to requests to exercise the right of withdrawal; requests to exercise the legal guarantee of conformity; other rights arising from the purchase contract entered into via the Website and/or legally provided in connection with such a contract and/or in relation to the provision of the Website Services;
- Carrying out any activities that prove necessary as a consequence of the exercise of such rights and to proceed – where appropriate – with the relevant refunds;
- Receiving and acknowledging requests to exercise personal data protection rights under the Regulation and carry out all subsequent activities.
- The legal basis for such processing is the fulfilment of legal obligations to which Selecta S.p.A. is subject. The provision of data for the purposes in question is obligatory, since the processing is necessary to enable Selecta S.p.A. to fulfil legal obligations as well as for the User to exercise their rights under the law or contract. Any refusal to provide data for such purpose will render it impossible for the User to exercise these rights.
For such purpose, Selecta S.p.A. will retain and process the data until the expiry of the legal deadlines established for the exercise of the right or, in the event of the exercise of such rights, for the time required to manage and conclude the procedure. In the case of the exercise of the rights provided by the GDPR, the data shall be processed until the Data Controller certifies that the request has been fulfilled.
Processing of data for the establishment, exercise or defence of a right
Selecta S.p.A. will process user data for the establishment, exercise or defence of a right in all competent forums. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of Selecta S.p.A.

The parties to whom Selecta S.p.A. communicates the data acting in their capacity as Data Processors are designated by the Data Controller by means of a contract or as persons authorised to process personal data under the direct authority of Selecta S.p.A.
Pursuant to the provisions of Articles 15–22 of EU Regulation 2016/679, the persons to whom the personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of said data and to know the content and origin of such, to verify its accuracy or to request that it be supplemented, updated or rectified.
Users also have the right to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose in any case its processing or obtain its restriction for legitimate reasons.
The Data Subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
